Route description

If you come by car and you have a GPS-system, the following coordinates will take you to our doorstep: N 44.58621 and E 1.06739:

FROM CAEN TO VILLEFRANCHE-DU-PERIGORD :
• Take the N13 (signposted for Paris), via Lisieux as far as Evreux. Go around the south of Evreux, following signs for Dreux   and Chartres, which will take you along the N154.
• At the roundabout to the north of Nonancourt, join the N12, towards Dreux.
• Take the ring road around Dreux, then rejoin the N154, towards Chartres.
• Take the ring road around Chartres, rejoining the N154 on the south-east side of the city, following signs for Orléans.
• At Allaines, there will be signs for the A10 autoroute. Follow these and head towards Orléans. (If you’d like to break your journey, Orléans has a large number of hotels at a wide range of prices).
• At Orléans, leave the A10 (after junction 14), and join the A71 signposted for Clermont Ferrand. As you approach Vierzon, leave the A71 and take the A20 towards Chateauroux and Limoges.
• Head south on the A20, signposted for Brive and Toulouse.
• Leave this motorway at junction 56 (Rodez/Gourdon), and head west via Gourdon to Villefranche du Périgord, which is on the D660.

FROM CALAIS TO VILLEFRANCHE-DU-PERIGORD :
• You could take the A26/A1 autoroute route to Paris, following the motorways around the eastern side of Paris and then heading south to Orléans, but we find the following journey more pleasant. Our suggested route, avoiding Paris and its traffic. • From Calais, follow signs for the A16 to Boulogne.
• Follow the A16 as far as Abbeville, then at junction 23 take the A28 to Rouen.
• As you enter the northern edge of Rouen, follow signs for Caen/Le Havre.
• Your route follows the D18 around the eastern side of the city to take you towards the A13.
• Join the A13 at junction 22, following the direction for Paris. • At junction 19, leave the A13 and join the A154 signposted for Evreux.
• This road becomes the N154 dual carriageway, taking you round the eastern side of Evreux, following the direction for Dreux.
• At the roundabout to the north of Nonancourt, you join the N12, heading towards Dreux.
• Take the ring road around Dreux, then rejoin the N154, following signs for Chartres.
• Take the ring road around Chartres, rejoining the N154 on the south-east side of the city, following signs for Orléans.

From Villefranche-du-Perigord to “Peyrelevade” :

At Villefranche-du-Perigord, in the square where the post office is located:

• take the D57, direction Loubejac/Puy L’Eveque
• after 2 km make a right turn direction Loubejac/Montcabrier
• keep following the signs to Loubejac (2,5 and 1,1 km)
• at sign Loubejac 06, km, go straight in the direction of Sauveterre
• next junction, make a right turn direction Sauveterre (7 km)
• next junction, make a right turn direction Sauveterre (6km)
• make a left turn the second path going up, that’s after 1500 m, just before a tiny little bridge
• Peyrelevade is the second house on your right

How to reach us by plane:

You can also fly to the Dordogne. With Ryanair or Flybe to Bergerac. At the Airport there different Rent a Car companies. It takes 45 – 60 minutes to travel from Bergerac airport to “Peyrelevade” by car.
